September Parish Council meeting

FROM THE PARISH CLERK

I have this morning sent the following message of condolence from the Chairman and Parish Council to the Private Secretary to His Majesty King Charles III.

“Etchingham Parish Council is deeply saddened by the death of our beloved monarch Queen Elizabeth II. It sends most sincere condolences to His Majesty the King on the loss of his mother and wishes to express its sympathy to all the Royal Family.”

During this period of national mourning all non-essential local government business is suspended. However, if there are urgent matters requiring attention, resolution and action that are time-sensitive then a meeting may be called. Following discussion with the Parish Council Chairman it is deemed necessary that I call the Etchingham Parish Council to a meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday 15th September in the Parker Hall to discuss only those matters which are urgent, all other items to be deferred to the meeting in October (20th) unless an Extraordinary General Meeting be called in the interim. These meetings to be conducted in public, invitations to attend such to be made via E Bulletin, Social media platforms and public notice boards in the normal way.

The agenda can be seen on the Parish Council website. https://etchinghamparishcouncil.gov.uk/document-category/2022-agendas/

There will be a 2-minute silence held to honour the passing of Queen Elizabeth II at the beginning of the meeting.

God Save the King.
