PARISH COUNCIL GRANTS;

The Parish Council can make grants towards specific projects being undertaken by village groups – new and old – being aware that this support can make all the difference to successfully completing it or not. However, grants cannot be made purely to cover running expenses, it has to be to help fund a specific project or task. The amount of grant offered may not be the full amount requested, depending on the funds available and the number of applications.
The Council will normally ask village groups for applications for grants in November, so that a decision can be made on the amount to be offered during December or January, it can then be included in the precept calculations for the next financial year.
