Flooding is possible for: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal, including Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Salehurst and Bodiam.
River levels are forecast to rise quickly as a result of heavy rainfall. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Rother, particularly in the Crowhurst and Etchingham and Robertsbridge area overnight and during the day on Monday, 26 February.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue into Monday morning. We expect river levels to peak at Crowhurst on Monday evening and at Robertsbridge in the early hours of Tuesday morning, 27 February. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Be prepared for further flood warnings and consider acting on your flood plan if you have one. Our incident response staff are out on the ground checking and clearing any blockages and debris from rivers. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. River levels are likely to remain high until Tuesday evening. This message will be updated by 10pm on Monday 26 February, or as the situation changes.
