Flood Alert Issued.
A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flood Alert in force: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal.
Flooding is possible for: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal, including Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Salehurst and Bodiam.
Flooding of roads and low lying land is expected from the early hours of Monday morning 27/01/2025 due to heavy rain, property flooding is not expected at this time. Areas most at risk include low lying land and roads close to the River Rother, particularly in the Crowhurst Bridge area, around Shrub Lane, and around Robertsbridge. Further rainfall is forecast later this evening and over the next few days. Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 09:00am on 27/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
