PUBLIC FOOTPATHS

footpath map

Many people enjoy walking the footpaths that cross the countryside, especially dog owners because the fields and woodland make it very enjoyable walking and exercising your pets.

There are a lot of public footpaths that cross over farmland around Etchingham, residents are very welcome to walk the routes at any time. However, walkers are reminded that they are only permitted to walk on the designated route of the footpath and are not permitted to enter any of the fields and land bordering the footpath.

You MUST NOT divert from the marked footpath route into the adjoining fields, this is particularly important if you have your dog with you, or there are animals in the field, animals can become very distressed if a dog enters their field.

Using Public Rights of Way

  • Clean up after your dog and dispose of the waste responsibly.
